 Your Legacy. Their Future.
No Tax Rate Increase.

MPS Elementary Construction Project '25

On November 4, 2025,  registered voters in the Minden Public Schools district will decide on a school initiative that will fix our urgent facility needs. The project would be funded within the existing school budget without adding to the current tax levy -- meaning no tax rate increase for property owners.

The Challenge

  • 100-year-old East Elementary has safety and accessibility concerns

  • Many of its systems are at the end of--or past--their viable lifespan

  • We're out of space

    • 20 students on preschool waiting list because we don't have room for them

    • The principal gave up her office for student use

    • No storage for classroom items

The Solution

  • Addition to existing middle school/high school

  • Three separate schools within one building

  • Shared resources (kitchen, nurse, school resource officer, cafeteria, administration, gym) for better efficiency

  • Meets today's needs; designed for future growth

  • Can be funded through existing budget with NO  tax rate increase
